Action Renewables has extensive experience in providing energy efficiency reports for businesses and organisations throughout the UK and Ireland, completing numerous ESOS packages under phase one of the scheme.
We have assisted clients to ensure they are compliant with legislative energy efficiency and carbon reduction requirements, working to meet the standards set out by the Carbon Reduction Commitment (CRC), Energy Savings Opportunities Scheme (ESOS) and Climate Change Agreements (CCA).
What is it?
The EU emissions trading system (EU ETS) was launched in 2005 as a ‘cap-and trade’ system for reducing industrial emissions of greenhouse gases in a cost-effective way. There are almost 11,500 sources involved in the EU-ETS, participants include; factories, power stations, and other installations with a net heat excess of 20 MW in 31 countries and covers about 45% of the GHG emissions in EU.
The cap and trade system enables installations to buy additional allowances and sell any excess allowances within the carbon trading market. The scheme is implemented in distinct phases, we are currently in Phase III (2013 - 2020).
